Klandestine Mind is an off-shoot of Drawbridge (Aberdeen) Ltd an established company which as you may have guessed from the name is based in Aberdeen Scotland. The author Marian Klastaitas has degrees in architecture and economics. Marian also has a passionate interest in psychology and human behaviour, which she has studied intensively for the latter part of her life. For several years Marian has been employed mainly in the offshore oil industry. She has also took some time out to work for the United Nations in Rumania and Somalia. Her husband Dave Klastaitas was also employed in the oil industry.
In 1999 Marian realised that she had achieved her goals in life - e.g. financial security, job satisfaction and a husband she loved. At the age of 47 she had finally made it. She started to analyse this success as she felt that with all the failures in her past life and her experience of coping with them that she may have something to offer to those less fortunate than herself. After three years of intensive research the Klandestine Mind course came into being.
Currently Marian and her husband Dave work full time on the Klandestine Mind project. Dave manages the day to day running of Klandestine Mind while Marian concentrates on her main interest of coaching people to realise their full potential through group sessions and individual consultations.
The name Klandestine comes from the first two letters of Marian’s surname (Klastaitas) and the first four letters of her previous surname (Anderson). It is of course a play on the word clandestine and in this case it implies that there are hidden parts of the mind that we do not utilise.
